About The owner

Alaina Anttila has a comprehensive background in speech and language, receiving her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology (minor in French) from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and her M.A. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UNC Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina. Alaina has always been passionate about other cultures, languages, and accents (Fun Fact: her husband is a Finnish native!), having provided accent modification services to clients in a university setting during her graduate studies.

While not currently licensed as a speech-language pathologist, Alaina possesses the in-depth, fundamental knowledge of speech production and differences in sound systems between languages to educate and train clients to modify any and all aspects of their speech that can hinder effective communication: discrete sounds, as well as speaking rate, intonation, stress patterns, emphasis, volume, and rhythm. Alaina feels privileged and excited to be able to provide these services and get to know clients from all over the world in the process.

Empowering others to be authentically themselves, while also able to communicate in a way that is effective and fosters confidence is Alaina’s mission and passion–allow her help get you there!
